UC 157 F1

Developed at the University of California at Riverside in 1978 this variety is the most widely planted fresh market variety in the world.  It produces early all-green spears with tight tapering heads and can be harvested longer in high temperatures than other varieties. UC 157 F1 is tolerant to Rust and Fusarium and free of Asparagus Latent Virus 2.
